Own Ahead is a marketplace and information service. Own Ahead is not a lender, mortgage broker, loan originator, real estate broker or agent, title or escrow company, law firm, tax adviser or financial adviser, and nothing on Own Ahead is legal, tax, lending or investment advice.

We collect, organise and summarise information about homes where sellers or sources advertise seller financing, owner financing, lease-to-own or an assumable mortgage. We do not originate, underwrite, service, arrange or guarantee financing, and we do not represent buyers or sellers in a transaction.

Advertised down payments, interest rates, amortisation periods, balloon dates, monthly figures and eligibility notes come from the seller, representative or source. They can be incomplete, out of date or withdrawn. Confirm all terms directly with the seller or their authorised representative, and have them reviewed by a qualified attorney, title company, licensed lender or loan originator, tax adviser and, where relevant, a licensed loan servicer before you rely on them or pay any money.

• Accuracy or completeness of any listing detail, price, measurement or photograph.
• That a property is still available, or that the advertised financing is still on offer.
• Ownership, title status, liens or encumbrances.
• Property condition, habitability, permits or code compliance.
• That the person offering the property has authority to sell it or to finance it.
• That any arrangement complies with lending, licensing, disclosure or consumer-protection law.
• Credit approval, qualification, or that any transaction will close.

Some listings are marked as live sourced and show a “source checked” date with the name of the source. That means the underlying public source was reviewed on that date and the factual points we display were taken from it at that time. It does not mean Own Ahead independently verified the property, the seller, the title or the financing terms, and it does not mean the listing is still active today.

Where a listing shows that a representative has been verified, it means someone claimed a relationship to that property, we reviewed the claimed relationship and identity information they submitted, and we accepted it. It is not verification of the property, its title, its condition, its price or any financing or transaction, and an approval can be withdrawn. Verification labels on a listing describe the level of information we have received, not an independent audit.

Payment breakdowns, tax and insurance approximations and the Own Ahead Score are Own Ahead Finance Advantage comparison tools built from posted data and general assumptions. They are not offers, quotes, appraisals, underwriting decisions or recommendations, and your actual costs will differ.

Listing information may originate from sellers, brokers, partners or public sources and may be copyrighted or otherwise proprietary. It remains owned by its source or rights holder. Own Ahead writes its own short factual summaries for live sourced records and uses branded placeholder imagery rather than third-party photographs.

Rights holders can raise a concern through the copyright and takedown process.

All listings and communications on Own Ahead must comply with applicable fair-housing and non-discrimination laws. Own Ahead is not a housing provider, broker or landlord. See the fair housing policy, and report a concern through the request centre or the inquiry form on any listing.

Own Ahead does not yet publish a dedicated legal or privacy mailbox. Until one is in place, send any legal, privacy, accessibility, copyright or security message through the privacy and requests centre. Requests submitted there are logged for review, and you do not need an account to use it.
